Great things at the 508 Park building! Check out http://www.508park.org

In 1937 a man walked into the Brunswick recording studios in downtown Dallas, Texas that would change the face of music forever. His name was Robert Johnson and it would be the second of only two recording sessions he had in his short life.

Johnson was to become known as the man who gave us "Crossroad Blues," "Sweet Home Chicago," "Hellhound On My Trail," and many others. Less than a year after this second recording session, he was dead- but the legend lives on.

The address of the studios was 508 Park. The building still stands, and thanks to the generous folks at First Presbyterian Church, Dallas, is being restored and revitalized! Check out the progress at http://www.508park.org. These studios were the home to many other legends as well, including "Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys," "The Light Crust Doughboys." and (apparently) Charlie Parker.

We have named our band to commemorate this historic Dallas landmark and to draw attention to the need to preserve such places if at all possible. We will do our best to provide the utmost in quality musical entertainment befitting such an illustrious title.
